Local Vibe

The Cambridge Fall Fair is literally just around the corner geographically for many of our readers, and for others it is still a reasonable reference as it is just around the corner in the sense of a time frame as well. In just 2 short weeks the the 171st Cambridge Fall Fair opens from September 9th to the 12th in Dickson Park, at Parkhill Road and George Street. The Cambridge Fall Fair is recognized as one of the oldest of such events celebrated annually in Ontario.

Since 1839 The Cambridge Fall Fair has proudly reflected the people, flavours and culture of our city and the agricultural community which surrounds us.

Rock The Mill (RTM) is a FREE summer concert put on by an all-youth volunteer committee. From 1997 to 2006 Rock the Mill has taken place in the picturesque, outdoor amphitheatre located along the Grand River in Cambridge Ontario.

After the outstanding success of 2006 RTM had grown to a level that was too large for its original home in the mill. 2007 saw RTM move across the river to Dickson Park for its 10th anniversary. With way more room RTM was able to put up 4 stages with over 30 bands playing!

Well we have had a great start here at Local Vibe and over the course of the last year we have seen quite a few changes and met many friends along the way. What the future holds for us is unknown at this point, but you can be sure that it is only going to [...]

The Cambridge Fall Fair is coming back to town for the 170^th time, which makes it one of the oldest running fairs running in Ontario. This year, Local Vibe is taking part in kicking off the event by planning a full night of local talent that is designed to showcase some local performers that are proud to perform for their hometown fans, and we are especially pleased to have the opportunity to share their performances with the attendees of the opening night of the fair in Cambridge’s Dickson Park.

We have worked together with the Cambridge Fall Fair Committee to produce a night of entertainment for you, with a local twist.
