Rockin The Valley 2 For Hardcore Rock And Rollers
by IanR on Aug.09, 2009, under Bobnoxious, Concerts, Info, Local Talent, Locations, Other, Reviews
Ok, so Rockin The Valley 2 went down last night for a select group of hardcore rock and rollers who couldn’t be held back by the impending rain that pelted us for most of the night. This group of wet people bouncing around in the rain and mud who were affectionately labeled as “Dirtbags” by Chris Raposo, West Memphis Suicide’s frontman, got louder and prouder as the rain got harder and more frequent. For those of you that aren’t aware or can’t understand how this could be considered an affectionate greeting, the term “Dirtbag” is a positive one in the WMS circle of friends. It represents someone with integrity, honesty, loyalty, respect and several other admirable qualities. Anyways, the dirtbags were in full force for the WMS show and all of the other fantastic entertainment organized by Mike Watson, Jason Jansekovich and too many others to list here. This event couldn’t have happened without the many people that pitched in to help, and to those people we would like to say “THANKS DIRTBAGS!”. For those of you that weren’t there, or can’t exactly remember some of what happened, we have included a photo gallery with all of the bands, and just a few of the people that were out playing in the rain.

Early in the day, the tents were set up and the stage was affixed with huge tarps to keep the bands and their equipment dry.
