Sun Is Going To Shine For Sunlight Festival

Summer is apparently finally here and not a minute to soon. This weekend is going to be one of the best on record for this wet summer we have been realizing here in Southern Ontario, and the Sunlight Festival is set to soak up those fantastic rays and convert them into high powered energy to feed the stage equipment in Guelph when the live bands hit the stage this Saturday, August 15th.

The first annual Sunlight Festival is being held at Guelph’s Riverside Park Band shell and is designed to be a Green Music Festival and is a non-profit charity event and solar powered concert showcasing various musical genres. 15 musical acts are scheduled to entertain the whole family, with proceed supporting Guelph-Wellington Women In Crisis. Each year, Women in Crisis offers support to over 1,500 women and children, and answers over 4,500 crisis calls. Women in Crisis offers five different programs to help women and children who live across Wellington County, who have experienced any form of abuse.
