Rockstock Brings Three Stages Of Music Your Way

by on Aug.13, 2009, under Concerts, Festivals, Info, Local Talent, Locations, Other

The Chatham Airport is going to be rockin’ this weekend, and it isn’t going to be from any low flying airplanes. Three stages are set to completely entertain you on Saturday, August 15, 2009 with “Rock” on the Main Stage, “Hard Rock” on the Side Stage, and “Make Your Ears Bleed Rock” on the Heavy Stage. While this may be a little out of the area for some of our readers, Waterloo Region has had so many festivals going on lately that you may have gotten dependent on attending events with so much going on that it leaves your brain rattling, so here is one more for you.

Rockstock 2009

Originally, this was designed to be a two-day event with a Rock Day on Saturday and a Country Day on Sunday. Due to poor advanced ticket sales for the Country Day, this presentation has been canceled. For ticket holders that are wondering what to do with their obsolete tickets, please visit this page on the Rockstock website for information regarding ticket exchanges or refunds.

For those of you that are planning on attending the Rock Day on Saturday, here is the lineup that you are going to be able to enjoy, complete with links to the band pages to check them out first.

This concludes the band listings for this huge event, and I am thinking that even though the second day has been canceled there is more than enough music to go around for one day. 25 bands is alot for anyone to take in during one day, even if you are a pro at this type of festival.

If you are looking for something to do this weekend, keep this in mind for sure. Tickets for the one day are $50, and at $2 per band that really is a great deal. Keep your eyes peeled, cause you may see someone from Local Vibe hanging around taking pictures. So there are two things to remember, make sure you have clean underwear on in case of an emergency, and if our cameras are pointing in your direction make sure you give us a smile because you could find yourself posted up here on our site.
