This weekend promises to be another great one for the Collingwood area as the Blues are taking over many stages for the next few days. Hot on the heels of the extremely successful Wakestock event that was held last weekend, the Peak To Shore Music Festival provides tons of entertainment in a multi-day event that showcases lots of talent. Check out the Jazz By The Bay website for complete listings of events, locations, and ticket information.

The Collingwood Jazz & Blues Festival and the Blues at Blue Festival have joined together and formed the Peak to Shore Music Festival which will be held at the Village at Blue Mountain and Downtown Collingwood. The kick off gala will begin with the Shuffle Demons at the Georgian Manor Resort on August 13th.

August 14th has The Fig Leaf Jazz Band performing on the main stage at noon, and Eh Train takes their place at 3pm. The Shuffle Demons are back again, this time on the TD Canada Trust stage at noon, and Marisa Lindsay / Eddie Bullen are on at 3pm. On the Terrace Stage will be Sean Pinchin at noon and Wayne Buttery and Robin Banks are the 3pm performers there. The fun doesn’t stop there, as the music keeps going with Funky Truth at JD’s Bar & Grill, Sean Pinchin at Admiral’s Post, and the Mike Roberts Band at Molly Blooms. The Village at Blue will also be hosting some live music at Rusty’s Bar.

On August 15th the main stage will host Louis LeFaive and the Kings of Swing at 11am and Regal Jazz Band at 2pm. Lance Anderson B3 Duo at 11am and Take 3+1 at 2pm will be at The TD Canada Trust Stage and the Bearcats Blues Band at 11am and Curley Bridges at 2pm will perform at the Terrace Stage. The Blue Mountain Village Stage will host The Quincy Bullen Band with Sean Pinchin at 1pm. Grammy Award winner Alannah Myles will also appear at 7pm at the Village Bandstand stage. For Saturday night some of the artists are moving around and you will find Sean Pinchin at JD’s Bar & Grill, Rick Robichaud is at Molly Blooms and Rusty’s Bar will host The Merula Projekt.

Sunday is the final day for this event, and it wraps up in fine fashion. The Blue Mountain Village Stage is the place to be and Sean Pinchin will perform at Noon until 2pm. Jordan John and the Blue Angels will perform from 2:30 to 4:30pm.

Collingwood has shown that they know how to put on a great party, and this is going to be just another example of what they can accomplish. The combining of these two events sets the stage for an entire weekend jammed full of some of the best in Blues performances. Make sure you are there to be a part of it.
