Since
I have been interested in the local music scene, and going to local shows, I
have found a handful of

bands that I have thought we’re pretty good. Not very
often though, did I find a band that caught my attention, and held it for a
whole song. Not very often did I find a band that left me speechless, and only
with my thoughts. It is rare to find such a band, but I got lucky when I found Silent
Getaway.
Their music pulls you into a dream
world, a sort of trance. The music make you think and it makes you feel. The
catchy guitar riffs by Brandon Da Silva and Jordan Ellis, combined with the
skilled drumming of Jonathan Figueiredo, make for one truly amazing musical
experience. If you can imagine Angels and Airwaves meets U2 meets Led Zeppelin,
then you can maybe begin to imagine the sounds of Silent Getaway.
Silent
Getaway is quickly becoming one of my favourite musical experiences of the
year, and I can promise that if you check out their Facebook page, listen to
their music and watch their videos, you will not regret it!
