Caught in the act: Mose Scarlett at Cafe 13

March 27th was a treat for Cambridge at the café 13 in the Galt room. Mose Scarlett was the guess star of the night at a sold out show for the Mill Race Folk Society for the up coming annual Mill Race festival.
Mose Scarlett, he bills his music as Blues, Jazz, Ragtime and Swing because, as he says, “those are the four things I’ve been accused of most often.” Mose’s music and voice is soothing and powerful with his masterful skills with the guitar, which is all self taught. In between sets, he would entertain the crowd with stories and one of them was about chain mail and how to deal with them.
Here’s a video of Mose playing at the Cafe in May of 2007.
