Singer/Songwriter Peter Ezekiel

Peter Ezekiel is a versatile Singer/ Songwriter from the Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo area, whose diverse interest in music first manifested itself through short story and poetry writing since the age of six. By sixteen, Peter began playing bass inspired by the power and dynamic presence of Gene Simmons of KISS. Upon joining his school choir, however, he also found he had a voice. Playing bass and singing seemed to inhibit Peter’s interaction with his audience, so he set the bass aside to further his commitment to personal vocal expression. Now incorporating dance and outrageous theatrical outbursts into his stage presence. By eighteen, Peter set out on a creative quest which had him crossing musical genres from Hip-Hop to Heavy Metal; included in this original quest he began experimenting with other vocal sounds like; Alternative, Rock, Grunge, Funk, Pop, Jazz, Blues and even Rap. Soon after he took up the guitar and learned to play, just to get the songs out of his head !. He could be quoted as saying, ” Musicians are simply productive schizophrenics”. Peter has headlined major venues, (Lee’s Palace/T.O. and Sages/Kitchener), Community Clubs, Outdoor Festivals,(ie: The Ray Of Hope Festival, Soundzone, Vanessa, Jazz’n It Uptown, Waterloo), and of course this includes showing up at pig roasts, performing on hay wagons, and picnic tables all over Ontario. Remaining spontaneously creative and always willing to collaborate has kept Peter busy in and around music for a decade. Currently working on his next C.D. Release Peter is still expanding his fan base and song structure to include collaboration with up and coming artists to further bridge the genre gap. “COME TOGETHER” JOHN LENNON. Keep your eyes peeled for his new line up, “HANG DOG EXPRESSION”.
