(Mar 23, 2009) — BROWN, Mel – Peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital on Friday, March 20, 2009 at the age of 69. Beloved husband to Miss Angel for 33 years. Loving father to Michelle Brown and Debora Ramirez of Sacramento and to Tyrone Brown of Los Angles. Cherished brother to James Brown of Oakland. Mel will be forever remembered by his seven grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, John Henry and Lela Brown; three sisters and two brothers. Relatives and friends are invited to The Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home , 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Thursday, April 2 and again on Friday, April 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Mel’s life will be held on April 4, 2009 at The Gig, 137 Ontario St. N., Kitchener, at 1 p.m. Private family interment to follow at a later time.
