This week is Canadian Music Week and Toronto is host to the biggest events in the Canadian music industry, and with it artists from across this great land are going to be converging on the city ready to rock n’ roll.

As part of this fantastic celebration, Canadian Musicfest 09 is host to 500+ artists, spread out over 45+ venues and you can take part in it all with the purchase of a single wristband. Wristbands can be purchased for 1 day only ($25), or you can enjoy all the action for the entire 5 days ($50). This wristband will get you into every single event, as well as the CMW Film Festival.

Trust me, I lost a few hours myself as I was digging through page after page of musical info to determine what to write about. There is a full schedule of all the artists involved, including information on where they are playing. You can find out who was nominated for what, and there are hundreds of links to the websites of these superb bands.
If you are looking for something to do this week, there is absolutely no way that you can say you can’t find anything. Even if you can’t make your way down to Toronto for any of these legendary events, you can check out our Events Calendar for musical performances right here in your own backyard.
