Calling All Rock Bands

There is a band that is familiar to the local music scene in London called Kill Effect and they are coming to the Circus Room in Kitchener on February 27th and is looking for other bands to fill in the roster. This band has been playing together for almost 2 years and is looking for Hard Rock or Grunge bands to join them on the stage to make it a full night of rockin entertainment.
For those of you that have never heard of Kill Effect, their MySpace Music page describes them as the following:
A three-piece hard rock, grunge, alternative band formed in London Ontario in late ’07. Consisting of crunchy overdriven, obscure and clean guitar, thick booming bass and fast, hard hitting drums, all mixed in with lyrics filled with love, hate, hurt, confusion, honesty, sincerity, desperation, depression and compassion, This is Kill Effect.
So again, the gig is on February 27th, and they are looking for 2 local area bands to join them, hopefully bands that can bring in a crowd so that everyone can benefit. Payment is going to be based on the take for the night, so filling the seats will be important. Kill Effect is requesting that bands submit some form of a link to a sample of their music (myspace, Imeem, unsigned, pure volume etc.), so maybe look at it as an online job interview or tryout.
To all the local bands out there, I wish you good luck and look forward to seeing who makes the cut and joins them on stage, and you can be sure we will be there when the time comes. I would also like to send out a thank you to Kill Effect for filling these spots with local performers instead of bringing an entire London posse down here. I think it is awesome to see bands reaching out across geographical boundaries to share and explore their music with new fans and new friends.

Hey i am from derive and we would love to play with you guys at the circus room Feb 27th. We would play a very high energy performance. We are a very local and get a lot of friends to turn out to the show. I also now another band that is local that has a big following and can bring out a good crowd if you interested.

Hey it’s Tom the drummer in the band Something You Whisper that is working out of Ayr (real close to Cambridge) we would definitely play with you guys.
We only have one song up on our myspace but that isnt the same as most of our songs. The majority of our songs are very upbeat.
