Where’s the nine:Desensitized to Insanity
Jazz/fusion/prog.
Musicians often take the path of commercial viability to reach the largest audience and to ensure their longevity but often sacrifice the passion that drove them to music in the first place. Barry Connors, the percussive force behind such bands as Coney Hatch, Lee Aaron and Toronto has teamed up with virtuoso Dean Watson to present a phenomenal, instrumental progressive mix that finds and nurtures a passion that answers to no one. With a diverse mix of jazz, rock, fusion and progressive elements that hints of such greats as Yes, UK, Rush, Triumvirat, FM; Where’s the Nine comes to life with a character all its own. This is not merely a collection of songs; it is a story, a journey that must be travelled time and again to fully appreciate all its twists and turns. You can read reviews of the album on ProgArchives here.

I can remember when Barry was with Toronto. It’s great that he’s living in Cambridge, maybe we’ll get a chance to see Where’s the Nine.
